well yeah, when you topicize both S and O in a SVO language
deprived of case and clitics, it's fairly difficult to do otherwise.
you could also say no problem :
mon p=E8re, il l'a tu=E9, le coyote.
my father, he her killed, the coyote.
le coyote, il l'a tu=E9, mon p=E8re.
the coyote, he her killed, my father
etc.
or else :
moi, mon p=E8re, hier soir, le coyote, il courrait,
me, my father, yesternight, the coyote, she was running,
et ben, il l'a tu=E9.
then (usual resumptive tag), he killed her.
moi, ce vin, l=E0, mon p=E8re, il m'en a donn=E9 une caisse.
me, this wine, there, my father, he to-me of-it gave 6 bottles.
etc.
that's very usual and common colloquial french.
