Eh. The latest version of ActiveState Perl for Windows takes up
less than 50MB; considering the wealth of libraries it comes with,
that's not so at all big. Compare it to the around 200MB that
Microsoft Office takes up, for instance. With hard disk space going
for about $1/GB these days, that's just not significant.
