Right. In L. Sprague de Camp's stories of the _Viagens Interplanetarias_,
the common language off Earth is Brazilian Portuguese, and in Vernor Vinge's
_A Fire Upon The Deep_, the part of humanity (probably only a small part)
that participates in galactic civilization speaks Samnorsk ("Common
Norwegian").
