When I was in the upper grades (1970-1973) only girls were allowed to take typing, under the excuse that they needed to be able to do something until getting married (similar to why only girls were allowed to study piano). So, I taught myself how to type with neither lessons nor teacher. The effect is that my right hand does 90% of my typing at 45 WPM, my left hand managing <shift>s etc plus a few letters (e.g. QWASZ) on a QWERTY. Most trained typists laugh, but hey, it has served me fine, even in an IT career, for 30+ years. I can also type excusively with my right hand if need be but at only 30 WPM. _________________________________________________________________ Get McAfee virus scanning and cleaning of incoming attachments.
