I agree. I still remember, in high school, what my
German teacher replied when some of the students
complained about how the lang sounded. He said:
"You've obviously never been seduced in German!"
I think there's something to it. All this discussion
about how a language sounds: I think it might make a difference
under what conditions: being shrieked at in it would probably make
_any_ lang ugly. And, as my German teacher remarked,
being seduced in it can make any lang sound beautiful!
(And, IME, listening to Eurovision songs can make a lang sound
beautiful or simply stupid, depending upon the song! ;-) )
