Unfortunately, it is out of our hands. This is a program of the UN
World Food Program. Already over 2 billion grains of rice have been
donated to the poor in east & southeast Asia, the target area. As I
understand it, leaders of the prosperous nations met in California to
determine quotas for each nation. They are to provide their quota
within a specified time. Five nations, including Sweden, have already
reached their quota, even though the words are English words. As
usual, the USA is dragging its heels. We still haven't set a schedule
for reaching our quota. I guess our leaders don't think there are
enough Americans who can get the answers right!
I wonder who counts the grains? :-)
