Yes. I used to use the term alphabet (meaning "writing system") on my web
site but people complained that many alphabets are not alphabets (meaning
"vowel and consonant symbology"). So I ended up using _neography_ ("new
writing system") [but it's a pretty rare term, occuring on under 800 of
