My Kamusi ya Kiswahili Kirusi says:
-amba (poet., rare) to speak (usu. bad about sb);
recip. -ambana; pas. -ambwa; dir. -ambia to tell, to inform;
dir.-recip. -ambiana; dir.-stat. -ambilika; double dir. -ambilia to talk
much
