Well, I know one way to do it is to have tables..
I II III IV V
II IV VI VIII X
III VI IX XII XV
and so on.. And there was some ways they did it, I remember an article
or book by L. Sprague De Camp on the subject at one time..
I remember using math charts when I was a kid, so that is one basic way
to handle things. Not sure how to do the larger numbers, but ..
