I would first point you to "Describing Morphosyntax" by Thomas E.
Payne. It talks about all sorts of areas of grammar and how various
languages (including non-IE ones!) handle the topic.
If you just want different sentences to translate, then I might direct

PS -- Edward: Since you use Gmail and Gmail meddles with Reply-To
headers, you might want to add some kind of "watch the Reply-To"
warning to the bottom of your emails, so that replies make it to the
list and not just to you personally. :)
