I was not talking race when I talked about the Roman center, I was
talking more about the ideal of being Roman/Roman Citizen. Why become a
citizen when you already are one, or worse when you no longer see a
benefit of said citizenship. I think the downfall of the Roman empire
and especially division yes had many causes, but one major was the need
no longer to be a citizen, as well as the basic differences between East
vs West, Urban vs Rural, Ancient vs Not as Ancient, rich vs poor. As
well as the basic distances between the East and West. Rome was the
center for a long time. But.. What this has to do with a Conlang, don't
know, other than to show how a Conlang, Auxlang can seperate cause of
distance, economic diversity, class and like. Yes the ideas of how
things change, scares people. The fear sadly causes racism. Also
preconcieved notions of someones comments. I just love to make people
think!?
