Something I've been considering for a while is a conlang in which there is actually "vowel-consonant harmony". The idea is that a front vowel can only occur next to a predominantly fronted consonant. For example the front vowel /e/ could occur next to /t/ but not /g/ - that would have to occur with a back vowel like /a/. Just wondering if there are any natlangs that do something like that. It's sort of similar to Goidelic, I suppose... Mike
