I've never done a conlang with vowel harmony. 'M not too sure I like it...

My nifty currently-being-worked-on conlang Old Føtisk uses ø for /2/ and ö for /&\/ (it also uses oe ligature for /2:/, but /&\:/ is spelt ö and differentiated by following consonants). My other nifty currently-being-worked-on conlang Ancient Føtisk used oi(e) for /2(:)/, oe for /&\/ and oia for /&\:/, but I imagine you don't like polygraphs as much as you should :( OTOH, I'm still thinking about getting rid of /&\(:)/; when I got back to conlanging after semester, I'd even forgotten my original sketch had retained it. -- Tristan.
