This was my first 'real' grammar. It's quite good and clear, but is totally different from the Mouton grammars in style. I can't put my finger on what's exactly different - but there is something. Maybe just old-fashioned-ness. Matisoff's Lahu grammar is excellent, too, but also very old-fashioned, very seventies in outlook and presentation. There really has been a good crop of reference grammars in the last decade. Boudewijn Rempt | http://www.valdyas.org
