Actually, they don't. The "trilly" sound of Dutch (which is also
used in Swiss German, Klingon and Welsh if I'm not mistaken) is
an uvular fricative /X/ (Greek letter chi in IPA) as opposed to
the smooth velar /x/ of High German.
