It would be quite simple. Simply find the actual new moons for various
years, and calculate the actual spring equinox, and find when the
"wrong" month contains spring equinox. Or, even simpler, simply convert
the dates of spring equinox from various years into the Jewish calendar,
see how often it's in the "right" month. In fact, given the figure I've
read, that on average, Jewish holidays are about 8 days later than they
were in 359, when the calendar was set up, I'd say it's probably off
about once every four years (months are 29.5 days each, so one 29-1/2
day error every four years averages to eight days every year)
