Are you sure it was just too much time on his hands? If he was doing it
round the clock, it's possible that it could have been the manic phase of
Bipolar Illness. (And I say that being Manic-Depressive myself, though
mine doesn't get too badly out of hand until you start giving me
antidepressants. I turn hypo-manic within the week and eventually beome
fully manic on antidepressants. Needless to say, I stay on mood
stabilizers and eschew antidepressants :) It took me a year to get full
conitive function back after my last episode of drug-induced mania.)
