It's the absence of information that causes panic. Because without information,
people try to "fill the holes" as someone said, and usually fill them with
pessimistic views. As for loss of airline ticket sales, what is more important,
business or people's safety?

As for announcing it triggering another phase. Well, I having the screen
getting blank is a signal enough!

This list is renowned for it's ongoing off-topic discussions. Personnally I
don't mind. That's what makes this list so different from the others, so
unique. As long as the OFF-TOPIC or CHAT tags are put on the title, so that
people can filter them if they want, it's not a problem.
