I'm not sure where the phrase comes from (try googling for several different uses of the phrase), but despite the very real threat left-handed Lithuanians present to our way of life, mom, the flag, and apple pie, it's all tongue and cheek. :) As for the typical conlanger, given the large influx of right-handed, straight, and clean-shaven people, the only currently active conlanger who currently fills the stereotype is Christophe. We may be witnessing (especially with the welcomed influxed of doubly-blessed X chromosome folk) a demographic shift, in which the typical conlanger is right-handed, straight, and clean-shaven. :Peter P.S. Oh, yes: <latin type='butchered'>Delenda laevus levus lithuanianum nobis!</latin> -- Oh what a tangled web they weave who try a new word to conceive!
