In Dallas we have the DART -- Dallas Area Rapid Transit. When we first
established that (marginally functional) system to replace the previous
(marginally functional) system my younger brother's first comment was "I wonder
wha thay call it in Fresno." He was,of course, about 12 at the time. Since that
acronym was and still is a forbiden word in my mother's house, from that moment
on the passing of gas became known as a Fresno among my siblings. Mother wasn't
terribly amused, but how do you ban the name of a city?
