Can't help you much, but remember they'd be speaking whatever variety
of Vulgar Latin they spoke... or even whatever non-Latin language they
spoke also (that has influenced their Latin... but i suppose you want
to keep it simple, right? :)). IIRC, Roman slaves came from all over
the empire.
