As an aside, animal names in Tokana refer by default to the female of
the
species.  Terms for male animals are compounds formed with "sokal" =
"husband, male mate":

    tioh     "cow"        sokal tioh        "bull"
    kauen    "hen"        sokal kauen       "rooster"
