In my family, we name our computers after Dark/Viking Age kings and princes.
I'm writing this on "Ingjald", named after a legendary king who supposedly
unified central Sweden by inviting his fellow kinglets to a feast, and once
they were suitably drunk sneaked out and had the hall burned to the ground.
Which earned him the nickname _Illråde_, meaning something like "evil counsel"
(cf Aethelred Unready, corrupted from _unred_ "bad counsel").
Despite this, we of course don't refer to them with masculine pronouns, but by
the non-human n-gender _den_.
