Micheal:

It's good to have you here. You certainly bring a good list of
credentials to the group! I am less than half your age (19), but I too
have been playing with language for most of my life. I'm currently
majoring in linguistics at the University of Washington, and my biggest
interests are in phonology and historical linguistics. My love child is
Yivríndil, an aggressively agglutinative language spoken by a few million
Yivríndi in the fictional world of Aratasa. The language was first begun
about seven years ago, but it was restarted basically from scratch about
four years ago. There are no specific languages that have inspired
Yivríndil, although I am fond of Finnish, Romanian, and Spanish, so
Yivríndil doesn't much resemble anything. The language is fond of
voiceless stops and sonorants, and my favorite phrase from the language
is "hatakra ennil". My other languages include Praçí, Tingrizîl, and
Hiksilipsi, all genetically related to Yivríndil.

My question to the group: do you guys have favorite phrases in your own
languages? What are they?
