Why am I not surprised? The only time (other than transiently) I was
in Texas, on a vacation in Big Bend Park with my family back in '76,
we were interested to see a historical marker memorializing the
final removal of "vermin and Indians", in that order, from some
county or other.
Reminded me of the signs at Annapolis: no dogs or midshipmen on the grass.
