I'd just point out that 'å' (a-ring) in Standard Swedish and a great many, if
not most, 'lects spell higher vowels, typically [o:] and [O].

PS [o:] and [O] are also spelt 'o', which letter also spells [u:] and [U]. No,
it doesn't make sense.
