Personally, I'd prefer gr-a-s, that is, a group of characters that
represent single phonemes, and other characters that represent
*clusters* of consonants. Of course, then it'd be more of a modified
alphabet than a syllabry, but then, your proposal isn't properly a
syllabary either, more of a hybrid "syllabo-alphabet".
