I guess it would help to know what the object is
- I seem to have missed that! I'm not sure why
we'd necessarily WANT to represent every possible
lect's pronunciation variation. I should think
the resulting syllabary would be too large to be
useful. And those of us that don't have certain
sounds or possibilities will simply forget what
all the extraneous symbols are for, for want of
use.
