True enough out in the Wilds of Usenet or the
byzantine backalleys of Chatrooms. Less so in
concentrated mail lists; still less so in a more
intellectual or creative list like this one. Even
if I called myself "Madame Hollandaise" out in
Usenet, I would think that a bit silly for here.
Note also the high rate of Real Names in use, as
opposed to obvious Internet nicknames. I think I
would assign a much higher certainty than you
would in this matter!

Still, it is an important thing to take into
consideration. I can say I'm one or the other,
but you _still_don't_know_ until you've met me.
