Curious sentiment. There is a wide range of edible mushrooms with a
wide range of tastes. Some of them excellent, others ordinary.
Picking them is fun, gives exercise and provides free food without
industrial additives. For a freelancer like me with time-consuming
hobbies like conlanging, the free food aspect is especially noteworthy.
Of course, after Chernobyl they warned us about the radioactivity
takeup in mushrooms, but most of the Chernobyl 90Sr and 137Cs in our
environment is washed out by now.
