From various resources on the internet, I gather that there are two types
of ergativity: syntactical and morphological. If a language is
morphological, d.h. it marks S(ubject) and O(bject) with one case and A
(gent) with another, it is not neccesarily syntacticly ergative, d.h. S
and O don't neccesarily have the same position. But if S and O take the
position in the sentence, they (normaly) also take the same case marking.
But I'm not sure of this.
