A website that I quite enjoy is Folklore and Mythology Electronic Texts
edited and/or translated by D. L. Ashliman. (As a by the way, it is
probably the best laid out website that I have ever seen.) I haven't
mentioned it before because on the whole, I haven't seen it's relevence to
this group.
I was just browsing through it and came across a section entitled "bump in
the night" which lists loads of names of evil supernatural entities which
might be right up some of your streets.
