Well, he's looking at a very small percentage of the Asian Americans in
the US (Probably just Chinese and Japanese). Filipinos, which are becoming
the largest Asian American minority use the Latin script. Vietnamese use
the Latin Script. Koreans use Hangul which is closer to an alphabet than
Ideographic script, Thai use a syllabary, etc.....
_Most_ Asian Americans (Not all mind you :)) work hard because the quality
of your work shows how well your parents raised you. I'd say working hard
is a cultural thing, and not because you know two different scripts.
