Without more information, it's really hard to judge. What is the
sound of the letter "u" as distinct from "y"? You say that "y"
is the "oo" of English "boot", but that is [u] in IPA. Are
"u" and "y" meant to be as in Finnish?
Also, are doubled vowels long, as in Finnish?
