Comment about standardised Old Norse orthography

Some time recently a member of this list (I think it was either Benct or
possibly Jörg) made a comment about the standardised orthographies of
old languages for modern purposes, and realising how this might be as
difficult/unnatural for 10th-century germanics as it would be to read
Modern English if you found yourself in the 30th century which had been
written in a standardised orthography.
I'm having trouble finding it in the archives, but does anyone know
who/when it was or have the link? I would appreciate it.
I think it was in reference to Old Norse/Old Icelandic, but it might
have been Old English or even potentially Old Anything.
Thanks,
