I haven't heard of this before. I don't know, though, whether
"delightsome" was in use before the BoM translation or not.
The only unusual words I can think of in the BoM are terms for local
things such as currency or animal names.
I can imagine that some words may have acquired specialised *meanings*
through the BoM translation and LDS theology in general.
