        Here's my Ricadh translation, which I took from Joe Mondello's. Silly m=
e,=20
I neglected to save Joe's translation, but he can certainly fill it in fo=
r=20
the rest of y'all ...

A few basic details to get you started:=A0 Ricadh is VSO order.=A0 Verb
tense markers occur as prefixes on the verb, so the first thing you see i=
n=20
each sentence is the tense.=A0 What we think of as prepositions occur als=
o as=20
a prefix on the appropriate noun.=A0 I'll give you the entire poem first,=
 plus=20
very basic (!) English gloss, then explain further details as they come u=
p=20
below:

Neajrac vihle necat'a thlu esagme.
J'akmicru ayvihnue nefeli nun-ludehmi.
Janorbi evurw ayliat ned'a nun-cidraci.
Nijun-zu el'ine lisri vihlehro nave?

[The bird's song deals with important things.]
[A heron's clothes are cleaned with dew.]
[A lark reverently praises the evening sky.]
[But does nature really understand bird's sound/thoughts?]

-----

Nea-jrac=A0 vihle=A0=A0=A0=A0 ne-cat'a=A0 thlu=A0=A0=A0 esagme.
Regards=A0 the bird=A0=A0 's song=A0=A0 things=A0 important.

(The verb "jrac" is in the present tense, descriptive voice.=A0 "vihle" m=
eans=20
"bird", and the possessive here is marked by placing the prefix "ne" on t=
he=20
second of the 2 nouns, "cat'a": meaning "song".=A0 The final word is the=20
adjective or descriptive verb "important", placed after the noun it=20
modifies, with the "e-" prefix showing it's the descriptive infinitive=20
form.)

J'a-kmicru=A0=A0 ay-vihnue ne-feli=A0=A0=A0=A0 nun-=A0=A0=A0 lu-dehmi.
Are-Cleaned=A0 a=A0 heron=A0 's clothes=A0 [null] with dew.

(The verb in this case is in the "descriptive" voice, present tense, much=
=20
like the English passive.=A0 The subject "vihnue" has the indefinite arti=
cle=20
"ay" as a prefix, then the next noun "feli" is in the same
possessive construction I described above.=A0 The final expression,=20
"nun-ludehmi" is a bit more complicated:=A0 normal Ricadh prepositional=20
structure is as follows:=A0 noun1 prep-noun2, where the preposition is a=20
prefix on the second of a pair [just like the possessive pattern with=20
"ne-"].=A0 In this case, there is no first noun, so I put the null marker=
=20
"nun" as a place holder, a marker that shows the prepositional phrase ref=
ers=20
back to the verb, instead of the non-existent previous noun.=A0 The=20
preposition "lu-" means "with", or "using".)

Jan-orbi=A0=A0 evurw=A0=A0=A0=A0 ay-liat=A0=A0 ned'a=A0=A0=A0 nun-=A0=A0 =
ci-=A0=A0=A0=A0 draci.
Prasies=A0 reverently=A0=A0 a lark=A0=A0 the sky=A0 [null] during-the eve=
ning.

(Another verb "praise", this time in the active present, followed by the=20
adverb "evurw", "reverently" or "religiously".=A0 The rest of this struct=
ure,=20
you've seen before ... )

Ni-jun-=A0=A0=A0 zu=A0 e-l'ine=A0=A0=A0=A0 lisri=A0 vihlehro=A0 nave?
Understand but completely nature birdsound=A0 Q?

(Difficult, 3-element verb construction here.=A0 The verb "jun" in this c=
ase=20
is Active voice, present tense.=A0 A second verb modifier "zu", meaning "=
but",=20
is placed directly after that.=A0 The adverb "e-l'ine"
(completely) follows directly after that.=A0 Now with all verb modifiers =
out=20
of the way, we can proceed with the Subject "lisri" (Nature with a Capita=
l=20
N), and the Object "vihlehro", a compound "bird + sound".=A0 The
final word "nave" makes the sentence a yes-no question.)
