The best solution I can think of is to supply links to a webpage; there
you have a lot of freedom to use Latin-1, and as long as the other guy's
running Windows 95 or later or the Mac equivalent (I don't know what
version Linux starts running Unicode), you can do more.
Plus I have a big guilt complex about sending long posts...
