I fear that the characterization -- with "intelligent" rather than "great" --
would hold for yours truly as well... Anyone else?

You might be on to something there. There is anecdotal information on
him weeding his lawn with a pair of tweezers, nailscissors or some such
minuscule tool. Even if it was a small lawn...
