There have been attempts to write texts in PIE-- the famous "horse and sheep"story has even appeared here I think. Go to Cybalist-- a Yahoo group. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cybalist should get you there, or close. I don't know whether the archives and files are open to non-members, but that's a mere formality. Piotr Gasiorowski (very knowledgeable) has some articles in the files section. There has been a recent extensive and technical series of postings on PIE morphology by Miguel Carrasquer, also very knowledgeable though I suspect he is a closet-Nostraticist...........
