speaking of film dubbing - i read recently that Spanish audiences are
accustomed to dubbing because Franco used it as a way to enhance the
dominance of Castilian. thanks to the efforts of a Catalan politician,
Catalan audiences have a choice of three versions of (i think) <Potter>
-- dubbed in Castilian and Catalan, and with subtitles -- but they
heavily prefer the Castilian.
