Jarda uses the conjunction "zei" ("while") to mark prepositional phrases as adverbial, so the second example would be "I read the book while in the house". The example I actually use on the web page is "I come from Alabama with a banjo on my knee": sam zira Elabema zei lena gjeinga dhlizei skou zi'ei. come I-ERG Alabama-ABS while having banjo supported-by knee I-GEN In these cases, the conjunction loses the meaning "while", and only serves to mark the prepositional phrase as being used adverbially. -- languages of Azir------> ---<http://www.io.com/~hmiller/lang/index.html>--- hmiller (Herman Miller) "If all Printers were determin'd not to print any @io.com email password: thing till they were sure it would offend no body, \ "Subject: teamouse" / there would be very little printed." -Ben Franklin
