Jeff and I have long conversations about this, much to everyone else's
chagrin. I once asked my brother if he heard the 'bright orange' and was
rewarded with an extremely confused look. (Of course I meant "loud guitar")

crimson, yellow, the color of sunlight coming through linseed oil (!),
amethyst, auburn, and golden yellow respectively. I replied to this post
mostly because I was surprised that others who have replied have gotten such
different colors from these words than I, especially caret (red) and urgom
(black.) It makes sense that caelian would come out as blue (makes me think
of ciel and ...whatever the latin word is, I can't remember atm) but I don't
see any connections to other words in there.
I find that when I try to describe particular letters or ..things I guess I
would categorize as simple units, I get confused really easily, so I'm not
going to respond to a lot of the other stuff. To me, the days of the week
and months of the year are placed one in front of the other, not left to
right but front to back. Seems hard to describe since I'm thinking about it.
