He thinks that the self-correcting tendency of the list is working
very nicely and needs no intervention whatsoever.

General experience with religion and politics shows them to be touchy
topics, but ones which this list generally handles well -- that is,
with great tact.  This is entirely due, of course, to the mix of
personalities on it.
