Very quickly, the IPA for clicks are as follows:
O with a dot in the middle=bilabial click (kissing sound)
|=dental click (not use din English)
!=post-alveolar click (ntch, ntch, ntch! Naughty, naughty! Also "no" in
Arabic.)
|with two horizontal lines across it=palato-alveolar click (Is it in English?)
|| with the lines closer together=alveolar lateral click (used to spur on
horse)
I have NO idea how they'd be written in X-SAMPA. As for Romanization...
Isn't the "x" in Xhosa for a post-alveolar or retroflex click? One of those.
If you want to see a full IPA chart with soundfiles to accompnay each
syllable, go to this website:
http://hctv.humnet.ucla.edu/departments/linguistics/VowelsandConsonants/course
/chapter1/chapter1.html
You click on each region and then click on the individual sounds. It's
got all the clicks I listed there.
