I prefer the former Indo-Pakistanese system. 16 anas
in a rupee, 12 paise in an ana (or: 4 paise, depending
on the sources). Of course, the coins should be such
as : 3 paise, 2 anas 1/2, etc. And there should be
both new paise and old paise in circulation at the
same time. One should always remember that nickel anas
issued between November, 1972 and March, 1973 are
fakes, and their use can be punished by 50 years
imprisonment and a fine of 50,000 (new) rupees, plus
an extra fee of 13 anas 7 paise as legal taxes.
