Certainly! French people do consider that Spanish and Italian have a special
association with love (especially Italian). Spanish is more associated with
passion, untempered love, burning love (like in the -French!- opera Carmen,
while Italian is more associated with romantism, life-long love, less
exteriorized love (but not necessarily less strong).
