Me either. I was simply taking Andreas at his word and replying in
kind. I don't think "serious" was anywhere in the picture. :)
Meanwhile, I'm still looking for a better representation of schwa than |'|
in Okaikiar's Latin transcription. Suggestions appreciated, serious or
not. :)

Yup. Several. I'm not sure where to find them, since I wrote my
own, but I suspect a Google search would be a good place to start.
Searching for +"syllable generator" should do the trick.
