Well, in Watakass=ED, there are a few odd restrictions, such as no /gj/ o=
r
/gi/. When I make a mistake, I either alter it, either by replicating
actual sound changes from Kass=ED to Watakass=ED (such as /gj/ --> /j/ an=
d
/gi/ to /i/), or, when possible (as in this case) chalk it up to a
borrowing. The Kass=ED have no problems with pronouncing /gj/ or /gi/, i=

just happens that they don't have it.
