Hmm.... I think that part of the difference in pitch might be velar vs.
uvular, but also, the lower-pitched click is partially labialized. The
higher-pitched click also seems to be articulated with a laminal stop as
opposed to an apical one. At least that's the way I pronounce them, as
nearly as I can tell.
